Comfort and Compassion for a special feline

Dr. Doffermyre comforts Little Kitty and her Mom.

Many pets find visits to the veterinarian's office stressful, even on the best of days. For animals already feeling unwell, the journey from home to the clinic can be painful, exhausting, and frightening. Mobile or in home euthanasia offers a compassionate alternative, allowing your pet to pass away in the familiar comfort and tranquility of your home, yard, or another cherished location. We wholeheartedly feel that this option is gaining popularity as many families find solace not having to drive home grieving from a hospital and can privately process their emotions at home. You have the option to be present with your pet or in a nearby room during the entire process. Together, we will help your pet peacefully drifts to sleep, whether cradled in your arms or in a relaxed position.

Once the decision for euthanasia has been made, we extend our expertise and unwavering compassion to support you through every step of the process. From the moment you reach out to schedule the date and time for the appointment, you'll find solace in the kind and empathetic guidance of our team. They will sensitively navigate you through essential details, collecting necessary information upfront to streamline paperwork and minimize any additional stress during your appointment. These details may include:

  • What to anticipate upon our arrival

  • Options for aftercare for your pet's remains

  • Financial considerations

  • Addressing any additional questions or concerns you may have

If you wish, we can also provide a brief overview of the euthanasia process. During the visit to your home, our veterinarian will thoroughly review the procedure with you and your loved ones, ensuring everyone is prepared for the experience ahead.
